Yeah, I got to run outside this afternoon. I ran 5 miles and it was a great run. I have been struggling so much the last few weeks with my shins so I was really worried about my run today since I haven't ran outside in almost 3 weeks. Well the first 1/4 of a mile my shins were stiff but then they loosened up and I had a great run. I'm so glad, I guess it is the treadmill causing my shin trouble. I just think my gait is so different on the treadmill and I also run soooo much slower on the treadmill. Its almost March so surely its going to warm up, I'm going to try to stick to outside running from now on. When I go to the Y I'll just do the elliptical. Thats the plan anyway, we'll see, its supposed to rain all next week.
Took another rest day yesterday, hoping to run outside today if it doesn't rain, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Well its Monday. I went to the Y this afternoon and did 7 miles on the treadmill. I was only planning on 5 but I told Tina I would hold a treadmill for her since it is really busy by the time she gets there. So I ended up doing 7 miles. My shins flare up on and off all the time now, I really think its the treadmill, because I only have about 220 miles on my shoes. I will be so glad when the weather straightens up so I can run outside.
I did great on my eating all weekend.

I had a great day today, went to the Y this morning and ran 6 miles. It felt really good. I ran a total of 24 miles this week. I'm so siked. This is the first time I have gotten to 20 miles since my 1/2 in Oct. My eating has also been great this week. Maybe I'm finally back on track. When we got done running Melissa and I went to Evansville to Kohls. I ended up getting me 2 more running outfits, they were having a huge sale. DD got a new swimsuit and some shorts. Melissa got another running outfit also. Then it was off ot wallymart to get groceries. Now its Sat. at 4 o'clock and don't have much planned for tonight.

Well it was slick this morning but not as bad as yesterday afternoon, Didn't work out again today. PMS has got me down. I'm planning on meeting Tina and Melissa at the Y at 9:30 in the morning. DD tournament got cancelled for the weekend, I'm glad. They have one girl out sick and they are not looking there best. Gonna do a little shopping when I get done at the Y. Kohls is having a huge sale.

Oh my god, it was slicker than snot when I left work. It took me forever to get to my van and then I had to wait probably 30 mins. for the ice to melt. You think I would have bought a scrapper after last week. Got home and was going to do a video in my exercise room but It was so slick out, I was afraid to venture back outside once I made it inside. Thats ok, I was in a bad mood anyway, major PMS.

Yesterday, I did a 30 min upper body video. I headed back to the Y today hoping my shin would do better. Yesterday as painful as I knew it would be I used the roller on my shin. It was painful but I think it actually broke up the knot that was there. I did 8 miles on the treadmill this afternoon with no problem. I did do something different this time. Instead of just steadily increasing my speed every mile. I did interval training. I started out at a very easy pace, worked up to my fast speed and then when I hit a new mile, I went back down to my easy pace and worked back up. I keep doing this the whole 8 miles and felt great when I got done. I think I could have easily done more but didn't want to do to much.

Well, I spoke to soon, after running 5 miles at the Y Sun. my shin flared up again. I know it was because I was going to fast. You'd think I'd learn. Went to the Y again today and did another 5 miles but keep the speed down some. Been icing my shin since I got home. It doesn't feel to bad.

Tina and I did a 55 min video today, my shin feels so much better. Those new shoes I got are the bomb. Spent the rest of the afternoon making some veg. soup and cutting up salads for next week, I'm telling you I have got to get on track on my eating. I want to look good for my 1/2 and right now I feel like a porker. Chillin out right now and drinking a few beers. Tomorrow I'm gonna try to get a run in at the Y. Let me rephrase that, tomorrow I'm gonna run at the Y. Marganna is in Florida right now, she said she is setting outside drinking a margarita and enjoying the 75 degree weather. She got her a garmin for valentines day, Melissa is ordering hers tomorrow. Things are shaping up for our running group. Haven't heard from Renee, I hope she's on track with her training. Her 1/2 is a week before mine.

Well shit, went to pick Kacey up from Michelles and got stuck in the driveway. By the time I got home didn't have time to work out. This week is pitiful. Planning on running in the morning though.

YIPEE!!!!! I did it, I went to the Y right after work today and met Melissa. She was aiming for 4 miles and I was going for 5. Well I decided to keep going till she got done so I got 6 miles done today. I am so proud of her, a couple of months ago, she swore up and down that 3 miles was all she wanted. I keep telling her, look out I see a 1/2 coming up. I feel so much better since I exercised. It is so wierd, I was so down in the dumps the last couple of days, but when I got off the treadmill, I felt like 100 bucks. Hope I can get a run in outside this weekend, come on weather, be nice.

Well another day with no workout. I was going to go to the YMCA while DD had cheer practice, but it got cancelled. I know I could have use my own treadmill, but just couldn't make myself do it. I have my running shoes and clothes ready and I'm going to the Y as soon as I get off of work tomorrow. I have got to get out of this slump. My eating has been horrible, I feel like a fat slug.
Ok, I'm dusting myself off, only positive thoughts the rest of the night. Tomorrows a new day.

Another lazy day for me today, it took forever getting to work and home this afternoon. The rain had froze on my windows and I don't even own a scrapper. I shoveled the walkway when I got home, it was slicker than snot. I'm gonna consider that my upper body workout. Gonna try to get back on the wagon tomorrow.

Got up this morning, Tina and I did a 45 min strength video. Haven't been doing much else today. I have been surfing the net looking for flooring for my new exercise room DH is getting ready to build me. I am so excited. I have a 12 x 12 room now, but it was just kinda threw together with left over material. This is going to be a 24 x 30 room, half is going to be mine and half is going to be DH. 24 x 15 will be awesome. He's even going to put in a bathroom for me and heating and air unit. Can't wait.

Well we had a really good time at card night. I had a cosmo and a couple of micholob ultras and thats about it. Got up this morning and met Marganna for our run. We did 4 miles, it was nice out but really windy. Tina and Melissa did 3 miles. We went shopping after that and got us some new shoes. Now its just a chillin out Sat. night. Watching some movies and relaxing.

Its been a busy week, lets see Tuesday I ran outside on John Steele for 3 miles before the rain started, and yesterday I went to the Y and did 6 miles on the treadmill. I had to use one of the old treadmills ( it was crowded) and it tore my shins up. They both bothered me today. Took the day off today and have been icing them down. They are feeling better. Might just do arm work tomorrow and give my legs another day of rest. I ran really fast (well for me) on Tues. and that might of cause some of the shin pain. Thank god tomorrows friday.

It's Monday, back to work. I had a good weekend though. Sat, it was nice out but windy so I went to the Y and did 5 miles on the treadmill, Sun- I ran with a friend outside for 3 miles and this afternoon I did a 65 min. crosstraining video.
My eating has been bad all weekend but I'm back on track today. I really want to get a few lbs. off before my 1/2 in May. It was beautiful outside today, hope its nice again tomorrow so I can run outside.

Well got up this morning early thinking we would have snow on the ground and I'd have to leave for work early. Nothing here. They cancelled school anyway because there was some black ice.
Today was a rest day for me, its my long run tomorrow. Hope its not to windy outside.
