Thurs. I ran 4 miles with Tina, Renee was no show again. We started at 6 pm instead of 7 and it was hot. We did ok though. Sat. Kacey had a softball tournament in Benton Ky so we left at 7 a.m. and didn't get home until after 10 p.m. I got up this morning and went running at 5:30 a.m. I'm glad Marganna and Melissa were back from their trip. We had a great run. Tina didn't come, she didn't feel good. Renee still a no show. Guess she's done again for awhile. I came home got Kacey off on the bus for a 4 day cheer camp. and then I cleaned house and was eating lunch at 10:30. How cool is that. Got my run in, house cleaned, showered and ready for the day by 10 o'clock. I've just been being lazy now enjoying my Sunday.

Gosh I'm way behind. Lets see Sat. morning, Marganna and I ran 5 miles, Renee ran with us for 3 miles. Tina and Melissa also did 5 miles. Monday night it cooled down and the humidity dropped so we ran 4 miles. Ran again tonight with Marganna for 3 miles. Our legs were heavy, but I feel great now that we are done. Trying to get some milage in before I have to have my surgery on June 20th. Won't be able to run for 3 weeks. Bummer.

Had a busy two weeks. Didn't run but 3 miles last week. This week started off alittle better. I ran 3 miles yesterday and 2 miles this afternoon. My training for my next half starts next monday so I got to get some milage in this week. This afternoon it started pouring down rain at mile one, by the time I got home I looked like a drowned rat, but it was fun. Hope my shoes dry out soon.

Marganna, Melissa and I ran a 5k this morning in Henderson, It was the first year the welcome center has put one on. It wasn't timed and didn't have enough volunteers so we went the wrong way and it went down Merrit Drive which has several hills. But what the hell, at least we got a run in. Oh yeah the age divisions were in 10 year increments and the 1st place winner is the only one that got a trophy. Well for 25 bucks we got a t-shirt and a bottle of water. They will have to improve for next year thats for sure. Tommy and I are taking Nan out for dinner tonight for Mothers Day, I think we are going Mexican. I think I'll drink a few beers. Its been a lazy Sat.

Oh my god, I was in a pissy mood today. I don't know if the weekend finally caught up to me or what. I have major PMS on top of that. Well anyway, got home from work and decided just to changed into my running clothes and run a couple of miles even though I didn't feel like it. I ended up running 3 miles down John Steele and I'm so glad I did. I feel awesome right now, nothing hurts and I even ran my last mile in 8:47.

Well it's Monday and I feel great. Tina and I got home about noon yesterday and last night I went walking with Marganna and Melissa for a couple of miles. I got on www.onlineraceresults and got my placement and time.

I did it, I did it. Another 1/2 completed. It was awesome. Started out overcast and cloudy but the sun popped out about mile 8. Running around the indy track was great, everyone was so pumped up. I did really good until mile 12, no walk breaks. But at mile 12 I guess I hit my wall. I walked some between mile `12 and 12 1/2. Finished the last half mile strong. Finishing time 2:09:55. I'll take it. I actually ran my last half about a min. faster but I finished so much stronger this time and feel I ran a better race. Well, Tina and I are off to do some shopping, I'll be heading home tomorrow.

Ok, I'm all packed and ready to go, I think I have everything. I'm excited and ready. I think Tina and I will have a great time. Marganna is going to be running at 9 am Sat. morning so I will have my running partner to finish up my milage with even if it is several miles apart.

Ran 3.5 miles this afternoon after work, was only going to run 3 but I was just running the neighbor hood in town and went alittle to far. I'm gonna try to get one more run in before my race but Kacey has ballgames everynight so we'll see. I'm excited and ready to go.

Well got my last 5 mile run in. Now I just have a couple of short runs this week and then its race day. I'm really excited, I think Tina and I are going to have a great time. I'm not injured (thank god) and I feel like I have put in all my training miles so now I just have to hope I get up next Sat. morning feeling great and strong.

It has been another busy week. Thurs. I did 5 miles in Robards, it was hot but I had a really good run. Didn't get time to do anything Friday, you know the Tri-Fest and all, Sat. it rained . This morning I got a 10 miler in. I didn't get started until 11 o'clock and it was kinda hot, but the sun went behind the clouds and that helped. Ran a 9:36 pace. I hope I can do the whole 13 miles at that pace in 2 weeks. Tina ran 3 miles and then got on her bike and kept me company while I finished my run. That helped. Won't have time to run tomorrow or Tues. Kacey has ballgames. Hope to get a good run in on Wed. Tick- Tock it's only 2 weeks until my run in Indy. I'm excited and ready to go. Renee got moved out to Robards so she will be running again soon.

Well it's monday. I did a Firm video (45 min) yesterday and my legs are so sore today. I went ahead and went running this afternoon since I knew I wouldn't have time the next 2 days. It wasn't a very good run. My legs were exhausted. I went ahead and stopped at 3 miles. Hope to get at least 5 in on Thursday.

Gosh its been a busy week. Got a 5 mile run in on Wed. and then I ran the tri-fest 5k this morning. Marganna and I finished in 28:57 and Melissa finished in 36:02. Tina had to work. It has been a long week, I didn't get home until almost 10 everynight and it was stressful with Kacey trying out and all. Oh well, now all we have to do is wait to see if she made it on Tuesday. Hope to get another run in tomorrow and back on track next week. I have alittle bit of a cough going on but nothing to bad. Hope it goes away before my half.

YIPEE!!!!!! I got 11 miles done this morning in 1 hour 50 min. and 14 sec. I had a great run. I got there at 10 and did the first 6 miles by myself and then Marganna fell right in when I came around the loop and finished with me. She did 5 miles. Tina did 5 miles and Melissa did 3 miles. It was a beautiful day, I've rested up and feel great. Can't wait till I get to do my 1/2

Took a rest day today, it was gloomy and raining. Just laid around most of the day didn't do much. I'm going to town now to meet Tina, Marganna, and Melissa for a girls night out. Gosh I need it. We are going to Cheeseburgers in Paridise. I've never been there but Marganna says they have draft Micolob Ultr at 32 degrees. Thats got my name all over it. Then we are going to the movie to see Run Fatboy Run.

Gosh it was beautiful out today. I met with Marganna and Melissa at 11 o'clock for a run. Marganna and I ran together, her goal was 7 miles. I knew i was going to push her to see if she could go alittle further. She ended up going 7.5 miles and I stopped a 8. We found a comfortable pace and had a great run. Melissa, bless her heart had to run by herself since Tina had to work but she did 5 miles. I am so proud of her. Cindy is doing great and so is Kristan. You never know we might get a running group together yet. I would love to get a training group together so I didn't have to go to evansville all summer.
After our run, we showered and went to Evansville, We ate mexican, did a little shopping and had a really good time. I ended up bringing home a dozen Krispy Cremes. What was I thinking. Anyway, tomorrow its back to Evansville with the girls for alittle shopping.

Got up this morning feeling really good. My legs were still alittle sore from the firm video I did Friday but it was a good sore. I did a 30 min. yoga video and some pushups. I am so glad my shins have healed up and everything seems to be back to normal. Rain is in the forecast for the next few days but I'm hoping I can get a run in tomorrow or Tues.

Got up this morning, knowing I had my 10 miler to get done today. Checked outside and it was overcast, kinda cold and the wind was blowing. I had almost decided to wait until later in the day but then I thought, Sheila, get off your lazy ass and get it done, nobody is going to do it for you. So I bundled up and off I went. I did 10 miles in 1 hour 35 min. I decided to run without music today, just to see if I could keep a pretty good pace. I had my music with me and my headphones on just in case. Well I set off at a comfortable pace, deciding not to look at my pace until at least mile 8. I did fine until about mile 9 then I hit my wall. I flipped on the music for the last mile, but truthfully it just annoyed me more than anything. I couldn't find a song that worked for me. Well by the time I kept scanning songs, I realized I only had about a 1/2 mile to go so I just focused and did it.
My goal for this 1/2 in May is to run the entire 13 miles. On my first half last April, Sondi and I had already trained and planned on using walk breaks. We ran one mile, walked 1 min. The second half I did, I was running with Julie and our plan was to run as far as we could without taking walk breaks. I made it to mile 9. So this time my goal is really not to finish faster then the last one, I was very satisfied with my time. I just want to be able to say I ran the whole 13.1 miles. It is a mental thing I know, I just have to get past the wall when it hits.
Well enough rambling for tonight.

I was off work again today, GM and American Axle need to get their butts back to work, but anyway, I was going to try to get my 10 mile long run in today but burrrrr its cold outside and windy. After the beautiful days we had the last couple of days, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I did do a strength training video though and it felt great. I know how important strength training is but it gets pushed aside so often when I don't have the time. I'm really gonna focus on trying to stay on track with at least 2 videos a week. Indy is coming up in 5 weeks. I'm so excited.

I ran 3 miles on Johns Steele. Those hills are killers. Haven't done anything since. I was going to run today but with 40 mile an hour winds, I think I'll wait for tomorrow.

Didn't do anything on Tues. and Wed. It was raining both days. I didn't have to work Thurs or Fri. Got up Thurs. morning and had the house all to myself. Cleaned house and then about 11 I decided to go running. I ended up doing my long run 9 miles in 1 hour 22 min. I have a 2 1/2 mile loop up in Robards that is flat and not alot of traffic. I decided not to look at my Garmin until I had gone around 3 times. I wasn't going to worry about my speed, I was just going to find a comfortable pace and put in the distance. Well on my third time around there was a train on the tracks so I just keep going straight until 7.5 miles and then turned around and headed back. My goal when I set out was 8 miles but got 9 in. When I got done, and checked out my speed per mile I was really pleased. It was beautiful out, 50 degrees, sunshine and no wind. Tina ran at Newman Field after work and did 4 miles. I haven't heard from Melissa and Marganna. Renee e-mailed me, but I didn't check my mail till this morning. She's going running today, I told her to call me I may go if she's not going to far. I wouldn't mind doing John Steele today. Easter really snuck up on me this year. It seems like its really early this year. Oh well, hope it doesn't rain.

Took Sunday off and ran today at Newman Field. Forgot my Garmin at home but knew how many times to go around. Was aiming for 5 miles but Melissas showed up so I figured I'd run until she got done. Ended up going 6 miles and then I ran 1/2 mile with her to finish up her run. It felt great. My shins are al most back to normal. Thank God. Tina also ran 4 miles this afternoon, haven't heard from Marganna. I can't believe Good Friday snuck up on me. I didn't even realize I was off Friday until I got to work today. Thats great, only 3 mores days to go. Rains on the way, so probably won't get to run tomorrow.

We had a great 7k run this morning. We were worried about rain and it was cold but still turned out to be an awesome run. Marganna and I ran together and Melissa and Tina ran together. We started out pacing ourselves, our first mile was 10:19. Our goad was to finish with an overall pace of 10:oo our under so we knew we needed to pick up the pace. Our following miles were

It started raining on us after the first mile but it wasn't a hard rain and it didn't really bother us until we hit cobblestone in the last mile. It was really uneven and kinda slick so that was alittle tough but I really loved the course. Tina and Melissa came in at 57:42. They did great also.
I hadn't done a race since Oct. and I had forgotton had good it felt. Bummer that we didn't win the 1000 drawing but maybe one of these days. They have a Colon Cancer run coming up soon, I think we are going to do that one also.
I wore my old running shoes, didn't use my shin guard or tape and did fine. I had alittle ankle and shin pain when I was done but it went away and I iced them when I got home just in case.
I picked up two pair of Status at Shoe Carnival last night and I'm gonna try them next week.

Had a great run today in my old shoes. Did John Steele, 3 miles in 26:55. It felt great. Tina, Melissa, Marganna and I are going to the Olive Garden to carb load tomorrow night after we pick up our packets. I hope its not raining Sat. morning, I want Melissa and Marganna to really enjoy their run after all the hard work they have done.

I have a much better post for today. First of all it was 72 degrees this afternoon. No wind, it felt wonderful. I went back to my old shoes, wore my shin guard and ran 3 miles without any problems. Should have ran further but man it was kinda hot out there. Sun was blaring down on my, I was sweating. Gonna take a few of those runs to get used to warm weather again. I also didn't set any water out, and I was thirsty. All in all I still say it was a good run. Got my 7k Sat. and it looks like rain. This might get interesting. Gonna try to get back on track next week with my long runs.

Well, my legs were feeling better today so I decided to try to run alittle after work. That didn't work, I only made it a mile. Everything from the knees down was on fire. I was so upset when I got home I called Swift Athletic to see what they thought. They think its just the adjustment to the new shoes and after a shower and walking around awhile all the pain went away. My shin is feeling so much better but I was still so discouraged that I can't run. Tomorrow I'm just going to walk, jog alittle and see how it goes. Hope things get better soon, or I won't even be able to do the race Sat.

God, my lower legs and ankles are so tight and sore today. I can't believe how the difference in stability in your shoes works your legs so different. Really pissed off because I didn't get to go running this afternoon. I just didn't think my shins would take it. On a positive note my major pain in my shin is gone and it is just overall soreness, shins, calves and ankles. Hopefully I get everything straightened out soon. I have found that I binge when I'm having a bad day. I was so bad about my legs I just couldn't seem to control my eating at all. Oh well, what can you do, tomorrow is another day. Gonna go ice down my legs before I go to bed. Hopefully I won't be so bitchy tomorrow.

Went running this afternoon in Robards. I had a bit of a stomach ache and wasn't feeling the best but wanted to try out my new shoes. They did ok, I had a little bit of calve tightness but I think that will go away once I get used to the new shoes. I stopped at 3 miles, didn't want to push it. Melissa and Tina did their practice 7k. They had a really good run. The weather was just right. No wind, and about 50 degrees.

took another rest day today. Went to Evansville and got some new running shoes from Swift Athletic. I am struggling with my shins so Grant put me in a Mizuno Wave Elixir 3 instead of my usual Asic. I'm kinda worried, I've always wore Asics. He told me to just do a couple of easy runs this week and let everything get used to alittle more stability so thats what I'm going to do. I really like the way they fit, they are so light weight and are nice and snug. I just don't want to correct one problem and have another. I still have flash backs from my ITB issues last summer. It is so wierd that as soon as I went to a neutral shoe it cleared up. I'm hoping that these new shoes will clear up my shins. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm gonna do a practice 7k with Marganna, Melissa, and Tina tomorrow in anticipation of our race next Sat. I think Melissa is stressing out because she doesn't think she can go the distance. Well tomorrow I'm gonna show her she can. Tina will be taking her on a route that ends at 4.5 miles. Theres no way to get back to the car unless she runs or walks. Hope its not to windy. Last Sun. the wind on 283 was horrible.

It was a beautiful day out today. 49 degrees and no wind. I decided to try to do my long run so I wouldn't have to do it Sat. when the high is supposed to be 32 degrees. I started out slow and easy and got into my zone and did it. I ran 8 miles. I can't believe I had such a great run after working all day. I thought Tina and Melissas would show up (at Newman Field) before I got done, but neither did. I called Tina and come to find out she was home sick today. Melissa had a meeting in Evansville and was running late but she did manage to get 2 miles in before it got dark. My shin feels so much better, thank god. I was so tired of fighting this shin pain. My eating has been really good again this week and I can tell a difference in my pants so thats nice. Now I just have to get my butt in gear and start tanning. There just isn't enough hours in the day.

It was raining again today so I did a 50 min. video. My shin is feeling alot better. Got my newsletter about the indy 500 1/2 and it was stating again about no headphones including ipods. Thats gonna be tough, I'm running by myself and it will be hard to stay focused without my music. I think I will take it with just in case and take them out right before the finish line so they won't show up on the finish photos.

Yesterday I went to the Y and did 30 min. on the elliptical. This morning it was beautiful out, Tina and I ran in Robards. I did 7 miles and Tina did 5 miles. It felt great. My shins are sore, so I called Swift Athletic to make sure they had my size in and I'm going to get new running shoes next Sat. All in all, it was a great run.

Yeah, I got to run outside this afternoon. I ran 5 miles and it was a great run. I have been struggling so much the last few weeks with my shins so I was really worried about my run today since I haven't ran outside in almost 3 weeks. Well the first 1/4 of a mile my shins were stiff but then they loosened up and I had a great run. I'm so glad, I guess it is the treadmill causing my shin trouble. I just think my gait is so different on the treadmill and I also run soooo much slower on the treadmill. Its almost March so surely its going to warm up, I'm going to try to stick to outside running from now on. When I go to the Y I'll just do the elliptical. Thats the plan anyway, we'll see, its supposed to rain all next week.

Well its Monday. I went to the Y this afternoon and did 7 miles on the treadmill. I was only planning on 5 but I told Tina I would hold a treadmill for her since it is really busy by the time she gets there. So I ended up doing 7 miles. My shins flare up on and off all the time now, I really think its the treadmill, because I only have about 220 miles on my shoes. I will be so glad when the weather straightens up so I can run outside.

I had a great day today, went to the Y this morning and ran 6 miles. It felt really good. I ran a total of 24 miles this week. I'm so siked. This is the first time I have gotten to 20 miles since my 1/2 in Oct. My eating has also been great this week. Maybe I'm finally back on track. When we got done running Melissa and I went to Evansville to Kohls. I ended up getting me 2 more running outfits, they were having a huge sale. DD got a new swimsuit and some shorts. Melissa got another running outfit also. Then it was off ot wallymart to get groceries. Now its Sat. at 4 o'clock and don't have much planned for tonight.

Well it was slick this morning but not as bad as yesterday afternoon, Didn't work out again today. PMS has got me down. I'm planning on meeting Tina and Melissa at the Y at 9:30 in the morning. Oh my god, it was slicker than snot when I left work. It took me forever to get to my van and then I had to wait probably 30 mins. for the ice to melt. You think I would have bought a scrapper after last week. Got home and was going to do a video in my exercise room but It was so slick out, I was afraid to venture back outside once I made it inside. Thats ok, I was in a bad mood anyway, major PMS.

Yesterday, I did a 30 min upper body video. I headed back to the Y today hoping my shin would do better. Yesterday as painful as I knew it would be I used the roller on my shin. It was painful but I think it actually broke up the knot that was there. I did 8 miles on the treadmill this afternoon with no problem. I did do something different this time. Instead of just steadily increasing my speed every mile. I did interval training. I started out at a very easy pace, worked up to my fast speed and then when I hit a new mile, I went back down to my easy pace and worked back up. I keep doing this the whole 8 miles and felt great when I got done. I think I could have easily done more but didn't want to do to much.

Tina and I did a 55 min video today, my shin feels so much better. Those new shoes I got are the bomb. Spent the rest of the afternoon making some veg. soup and cutting up salads for next week, I'm telling you I have got to get on track on my eating. I want to look good for my 1/2 and right now I feel like a porker. Chillin out right now and drinking a few beers. Tomorrow I'm gonna try to get a run in at the Y. Let me rephrase that, tomorrow I'm gonna run at the Y. Marganna is in Florida right now, she said she is setting outside drinking a margarita and enjoying the 75 degree weather. She got her a garmin for valentines day, Melissa is ordering hers tomorrow. Things are shaping up for our running group. Haven't heard from Renee, I hope she's on track with her training. Her 1/2 is a week before mine.

YIPEE!!!!! I did it, I went to the Y right after work today and met Melissa. She was aiming for 4 miles and I was going for 5. Well I decided to keep going till she got done so I got 6 miles done today. I am so proud of her, a couple of months ago, she swore up and down that 3 miles was all she wanted. I keep telling her, look out I see a 1/2 coming up. I feel so much better since I exercised. It is so wierd, I was so down in the dumps the last couple of days, but when I got off the treadmill, I felt like 100 bucks. Hope I can get a run in outside this weekend, come on weather, be nice.

Well another day with no workout. I was going to go to the YMCA while DD had cheer practice, but it got cancelled. I know I could have use my own treadmill, but just couldn't make myself do it. I have my running shoes and clothes ready and I'm going to the Y as soon as I get off of work tomorrow. I have got to get out of this slump. My eating has been horrible, I feel like a fat slug.

Another lazy day for me today, it took forever getting to work and home this afternoon. The rain had froze on my windows and I don't even own a scrapper. I shoveled the walkway when I got home, it was slicker than snot. I'm gonna consider that my upper body workout. Gonna try to get back on the wagon tomorrow.

Got up this morning, Tina and I did a 45 min strength video. Haven't been doing much else today. I have been surfing the net looking for flooring for my new exercise room DH is getting ready to build me. I am so excited. I have a 12 x 12 room now, but it was just kinda threw together with left over material. This is going to be a 24 x 30 room, half is going to be mine and half is going to be DH. 24 x 15 will be awesome. He's even going to put in a bathroom for me and heating and air unit. Can't wait.

Well we had a really good time at card night. I had a cosmo and a couple of micholob ultras and thats about it. Got up this morning and met Marganna for our run. We did 4 miles, it was nice out but really windy. Tina and Melissa did 3 miles. We went shopping after that and got us some new shoes. Now its just a chillin out Sat. night. Watching some movies and relaxing.

Its been a busy week, lets see Tuesday I ran outside on John Steele for 3 miles before the rain started, and yesterday I went to the Y and did 6 miles on the treadmill. I had to use one of the old treadmills ( it was crowded) and it tore my shins up. They both bothered me today. Took the day off today and have been icing them down. They are feeling better. Might just do arm work tomorrow and give my legs another day of rest. I ran really fast (well for me) on Tues. and that might of cause some of the shin pain. Thank god tomorrows friday.

It's Monday, back to work. I had a good weekend though. Sat, it was nice out but windy so I went to the Y and did 5 miles on the treadmill, Sun- I ran with a friend outside for 3 miles and this afternoon I did a 65 min. crosstraining video.
My eating has been bad all weekend but I'm back on track today. I really want to get a few lbs. off before my 1/2 in May. It was beautiful outside today, hope its nice again tomorrow so I can run outside.

Gosh its been a busy weekend. Lets see, Sunday I got up and did a 60 min strength training video. Came in and seen that I had missed a call from Melissa. She and Marganna were getting ready to go running. Changed clothes really quick and went to meet them to run. I ran with Marganna for the first time and we did really well together. We did three miles.
Sunday evening I decided it was time to get my 1/2 marathon schedule ready the the indy 500 mini on May 3rd. Typed it all out and have it hanging on my fridge. I plan on running twice thru the week for 5 miles each time and then a long run on Sat or Sun.
I took Monday off, my legs were so sore from the video followed by running. Tuesday I did the video that Tina picked out, Super Cardio Sculpt and then did some additional upper body.
Today I came home and jumped on the treadmill. Tina and I have decided we are going to do a min. of 60 min. on the threadmill. So what I did was when I got to 60 min. if I was .5 or more I would keep going to the next mile. If I was under 1/2 mile I would stop. Well I was at 5.5 so I continued on to 6 miles for a total of 68 min on the treadmill. I cooled down for 3 min. I then did alittle stomach work. I feel great today.
Had a major fat day yesterday but feel better today. In fact all I had for supper was a bowl of all bran cereal and some toast. Well now I'm off to do my taxes, hope I get some money back.

Got up this morning and was supposed to go to the Y with a friend to run. Well she called and she said she couldn't make it so I decided to brave the cold and head outside for a run. It was kinda windy and so cold but I told myself that I would just do 1 mile and stop but once I got started I had a great run. I ran 3 miles.
I've just been in a shitty mood all day, PMS I guess.

It has been a busy week, haven't got time to blog. Lets see Tuesay I did weight training, Wed. I did 3 miles on the treadmill. Didn't have a good run, I think I started out to fast. I was bound and determined to have a good run so it was back on the treadmill on Thursday for 4 miles. I was feeling good and would like to have gone further but I had to get ready. Me and 3 of my friends went to see Spirit of a Marathon. It was awesome. The theater was packed with runners and cheering and clapping. It was so motivating. I don't know if I'll ever try a full marathon but after watching this documentary, its temping to try it.

Oh my gosh, after taking 4 days off from running and exercising, it was rough today. I ran 3 miles outside 38 degrees and windy, on hills. I have been doing the treadmill the last couple of weeks and I guess I had lost some of my conditioning for the cold, since its so warm at the Y. I really had alot of trouble with my breathing going against the cold wind. I've never had this problem before, but of course last year I ran outside the whole winter. I had a running partner then and it was alot easier. Its hard making yourself get out there in the bitter cold by yourself.
My daughter did well in Indy, and overall we had a really good time, although I was tired today at work.

Did a strength training video this morning, my shin is alittle sore from the video I did sunday. It had alot of plyometic jumps in it. I heard they are good for strengthening the legs.
I'm trying to decide when and which training schedule I'm going to follow for my 1/2 on May 3rd.
I would like to get up to 15 miles before my 1/2. When I did my half in Evansville last year my longest run was 11 miles. I really felt like I ran out of gas the last couple of miles. It was probably just a mind thing but I'd like to know I could do 15, then I would be more confident in the 13.1

I woke up this morning to snow, I was suprised I didn't know it was supposed to snow. Left alittle early for work and its a good thing. The roads were slick.
It was still coming down alittle when I got off work, so I went to the Y and did 5 miles on the treadmill. Started off kinda tough, my legs were sore frome yesterday but ended up good. I felt great when I got done

Burr!!! it got cold again. It's snowing today, not much but still snowing. I did a video this morning. It was 67 min. long and tough. I'm really trying to get my crosstraining in there. Its so hard to find the time for everything.
I feel so much stronger than I did when I was just running, I think the muscle gain has also helped when I run the hills.

had a great run today
Oh my gosh, I had an awesome run today. It was about 39 degrees, very little wind. I ran 4 miles with hills. Its a 7 mile loop, and one of these days I would love to do the whole 7 miles of hills but they are monster hills.
I didn't do anything again yesterday, I was just exhausted. I know it was because I have dropped my calories so much and I ate more yesterday and feel so much better today.
I'm going to try to eat healthy and watch my portions. I'm not gonna worry myself to death about these 8 lbs I've gained. I know if I follow the basic principles of healthy eating and keep on running the lbs will come off.
I just left a post for Laura telling her we need to remember that we are healthy and fit, I need to remember that myself.
Well its off to the grocery store and maybe rent some movies for tonite.

not enough time in the day
It doesn't look like I'm going to have time to do anything today, have to take dd to a game. Oh well, I'm just going to enjoy my rest day. I feel like I could use it. Its been a long week, have been really tired. I think I'm going to up my calories just alittle and see if that helps

It's a lazy ole day
Well it is warm 62 degrees, but very windy and stormy. Would have loved to go running today but guess it will have to wait for tomorrow. Took today as a rest day. I didn't sleep well last night and I'm tired. My eating has been on track today but I have been hungry, I think its the weather. I'd like to curl up in front of the tv and eat some comfort food.

Jan. is off and running
Hi, my name is Sheila. I am 41 years old, have been married 23 years and have one daughter.
I am trying to lose a few pounds and complete a 1/2 marathon on May 3rd in Indianapolis.
I started back eating healthy on Jan 1st and have done good so far. I currently count my calories and/or points. (Weight Watchers). I try to stay between 18 and 20 points a day or 1200 to 1300 calories. I am currently at 134 lbs and am 5'2". My goal is to get down to 124 but April first.
Yesterday I ran 5 miles on the treadmill and another 2 miles outside. I had 1170 calories
Today I did a Firm workout video called fat blaster. I have had 1250 calories today.
Monday wasn't to bad.
